It's a Birthday thing.....Surprise!

My sweetie given me some suga and sleeping the whole night! YES...it was awesome!

Ok so the whole flamingo thing is Mike's idea and we are starting a tradition on every birthday we will present the other with a funky lawn ornament. He doesn't care if we put it where anyone can see but thinks this is a good idea. Can we say spooky!!!!!!

A black forrest cake....yummy

There are 5 place settings one for each of us in the family...=) so thoughtful.

So I get up on the morning of my birthday and think what will this day bring? Not happy that Mike is working the whole day and tells me that he will be late upon getting home. He leaves and only thing he says to me is Happy Day. Typical man I thought, doesn't even remember my birthday. Real Nice! So I go through the day and just enjoy it with Avery and Ashby. When he gets home I was on the lawn giving Ashby some outside time. He talked about going to dinner and that he'll go get into the shower. So I'm like whatever..... Well he goes in the house and I stayed outside for a while longer(until the sprinklers turn on =0) and I have to get the "kids" in. So I get into the house and what do I find? Suprise a nice little party ready and waiting for my little family. He was so pleased with himself. Then we went to Joe's Crab Shack...lol (he doesn't eat seafood) for dinner so I could have me some yummy crab! It was a great night!!!!! We won't talk about the fact that I'm 42 freakin years old now. So weird!

The Many Faces of Avery

Avery is getting so big. I can't believe how fast they grow. I want for her to stay small for just a little while she'll be big for much longer. I am amazed at the joy she brings into our life and about the wholeness we feel with her here. She is smiling alot now and has the cutest dimples. I can't believe how hard it has been to catch that perfect smile on the camera lol.

She Loves Kisses....so when she see's one is coming she gets excited.

Look how sweet my little angel can be then other times it's like what the heck is that face (special bus)...LOL

So I'm wondering how in the world do people manage a family on one income? I'm so used to being self-reliant and being able to pay all the bills and have spending money afterwards and no worries. Now I'm soooo stressed about money and making sure the bills are paid. I have looked and looked online about doing something at home but I'm not confident that any of the options are not just scams. The Army is great at providing insurance but isn't cutting it when it comes to allowing us to live on one income. So the true delema is do I go back to work and make money for us to survive and put my baby in the care of someone else?...and who is a whole other story. Or, do I stay home and have my hubby go work another job and never see him- which granted certain days you all know that this is a blessing =) but seriously. I am feeling really conflicted right now and with all the stuff going on with the dog and having to replace tires on the car etc. Finances it seems is how satan is working his b.s. on me right now. So, any ideas on how to have it all would be great right about now. Just needing to vent!

Summer here we come! So I have been doing a crap load of yard work this last week. I am soooo tired I can hardly move but the work has payed off and the results are amazing. I am really pleased with how my yard is looking and that it just needs to be maintained now. I am so happy to be done with this as I can just enjoy it. Avery and I love to sit on the porch at night and smell the jasmine and feel the wind blow.

First Week Of June...... So I can't seem to stop taking pictures of my cute baby! She is getting cuter by the day! She is loosing her newborn look and taking on her own look now. I can't believe how much she has already grown. I got back some pictures of her when she was born and she is so big to me now =(. I love that she is smiling when you talk to her and she is getting more vocal by the day. I love it when she laughs in her sleep. Would love to know what she is dreaming about. She will be six weeks old tomorrow and I can't believe how time has flown by already. I just want her to stay little for a while but everyday she grows some more. Oh how I love this little girl.

So is it just me or what the heck that everyone is already commenting on how much Avery looks like Mike. I swear if I hadn't given birth to her I'd question being her mother....lol. She has his family's nose, ears, toes, and I find out yesterday his blood type. I took her to the dr. because she has trush, yuck! POOR baby has a caked on tongue so time for some medication, luckily it hasn't reached the diaper area. We had a great night on Monday taking her to see temple square and to the movie Babies. Seriously, one of my all time favorite movies ever. Maybe because I'm in the mommy phase but dang those babies in that movie are so cute. The african baby was my favorite and I was amazed at how the poorest babies in lieu of all the modern "necessities" of life are the happiest. Leaves something to be said about living a simplistic life. Avery is progressing nicely, she is startng to smile when you talk to her and she has a great smile! Now I just need to catch it on camera again. Here are some updated pictures of her.
